Shashi Hotel Opens Carte Blanche, an In-House Coffee Shop
MOUNTAIN VIEW, California—Shashi Hotel announced the opening of its in-house boutique coffee shop, Carte Blanche. Carte Blanche is helmed by Shashi Group’s Vice President of Culinary Operations Jarad Gallager, along with Executive Chef Aubree Arndt. Artisanal coffee offerings will be accompanied by a menu focused on Spanish flavors and techniques.
Carte Blanche has partnered with independently owned coffee roaster Vertigo Coffee Roasters, based in San Juan Bautista, California with its coffee sourced from Mexico, Honduras, Colombia, and Peru. Carte Blanche’s team of baristas is trained to deliver coffee that is balanced while the café’s rotating selection of single-origin beans will provide new options for guests to try.
“Carte Blanche is designed around the idea that coffee is not just a drink, it’s a way of life. That each of us are busy, driven, and often in need of the perfect cup of coffee,” said Gallager. “We believe that coffee and food should be enjoyed in a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. Our café is designed with a modern feel, but we have strived to create a cozy and calming space for our guests to relax and savor their meal or drink. With a commitment to quality ingredients and exceptional service, we aim to become a gathering place for the community and a destination for visitors of the area.”
“Carte Blanche is an embodiment of that commitment, offering a sensory experience that reflects the heart and soul of Shashi Hotel Mountain View,” said Dipesh Gupta, CEO and founder, Shashi Group.
The café’s minimalist design allows for a space to work, relax, or mingle. The 538-square-foot space features seating for 12, as well as an outdoor patio. The opening of Carte Blanche is the latest in Shashi Hotel’s dining outlets, including Broma and The Emerald Hour.
