May is here and summer travel is in full swing! There are so many incredible spots to travel to and from in Southern California. We always have Palm Springs, Las Vegas, and the mountains, but I found another awesome spot in the middle of Silicon Valley.

Whenever I travel up to the Bay Area, my go-to spot is Shashi Hotel, a premier urban resort in Mountain View, nestled in the heart of Silicon Valley. Shashi Hotel pushes the boundaries of hospitality by offering guests a highly personalized customer experience through tech-savvy guest rooms, purposeful design, refined culinary and cocktail options from a Michelin Star chef, and an unbeatable loyalty program called Shashi Cash that allows guests to earn 5 percent cash back on room reservations. Elevated amenities include a steam room and sauna, poolside cabanas, complimentary bikes, live music, and an organic farm stand with locally grown produce. A plus for business and leisure travelers alike, Shashi Hotel is moments away from Google, Meta, Microsoft, Apple, and LinkedIn, and within walking distance from activities like biking, hiking, sailing, and golf at Shoreline Lake Park.

If you’re staying put this month, check out the CHOC Gala featuring Gwen Stefani on May 18. I recently had the honor of being a part of the final year of the CHOC Follies, which was the brainchild of the late Gloria Zigner. She was Orange Coast’s society editor for many years before her passing this past October. Not only did we put on a remarkable show called “CHOCTOPIA: The Final Race,” but we managed to raise more than $1 million for a great cause. I want to thank all of the beautiful people who shared this experience with me, and for adding to the long list of amazing movers and shakers who have taken the stage through the years for this annual extravaganza. Gloria must be smiling ear to ear!
